ALIVE- ALIVE (ALexandrians InVolved Ecumenically) is an organization composed of 40 congregations serving over 10,000 needy Alexandrians every year. Saint James participates by collecting food and money for this organization regularly as well as collecting for ALIVE House, a ministry of ALIVE for women and children in transition.
LCAC- LCAC (Lorton Community Action Center) is an organization dedicated to reaching out to people in need in the Lorton, Virginia area. Saint James has partnered with LCAC by donating Thanksgiving Baskets, adopting children for Christmas, and collecting backpacks for children going back to school. Additionally, using our pastor's discretionary fund, we sponsored a girl through LCAC who went to summer camp at Highroad Christian Summer Camp.

Prayer is a central piece of our lives at Saint James. We believe in looking to God for guidance and direction as well as lifting our celebrations and concerns to God. God is interested in hearing from us and in shaping us; prayer does both things, allowing us to be transformed as we share with God our thoughts and petitions.
Part of our prayer ministry is receiving prayer requests which are passed along to our prayer team who pray daily for the requests. If you have a request, we invite you to submit it using the form below. If you would like to be part of the prayer team, contact them at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
